Guide
Are phone unlocking services legit? How to choose a safe one
Legitimate unlocking services exist and are widely used by repair shops and resellers, but the market also has scams. These checks help you tell them apart.
Signs of a trustworthy service
Clear prices per service and carrier, shown before payment.
A written refund policy that explains what happens when an unlock is rejected.
Real contact details, such as a monitored support email.
Published terms and a privacy policy that explain how your IMEI and payment data are used.
Warning signs
Promises that every phone can be unlocked, including blacklisted or stolen devices.
Requests for your phone passcode, bank PIN or mobile money PIN. No unlocking service needs them.
Pressure to pay through untraceable methods with no receipt.
Review counts or badges that cannot be verified anywhere else.
Protect yourself before ordering
Double check the IMEI and carrier. Most failed orders come from a wrong digit or the wrong network selected.
Make sure you own the phone or have the owner's permission, and that unlocking is lawful where you live.
How iMasterUnlock handles this
Prices are shown before you order and are paid from a prepaid wallet. If a supplier rejects an order, the exact amount is returned to your wallet automatically. We never ask for a passcode or payment PIN. Questions go to support@imasterunlock.com.
